Motherhood can be hard and messy and feel like a lot of work for very little seen impact. The hours spent cleaning and organizing are ruined in minutes by legos, crayons, goldfish crumbs and board books strewn across every reachable surface. It’s easy to become overwhelmed by the chaos and consumed with a need to live up to a standard of perfection that will always be unattainable.
I’m not sure about you, but I’m tired of letting the state of my home boss me around. I’m done letting society decide that unless my house is perfectly staged, it’s not peaceful, happy or homey. I spent the last few weeks taking photos of areas in my home or moments of motherhood that I find to be beautiful. Not because they are perfect or aesthetic. But because there is evidence of joy, of blessing, of life lived abundantly here.
I hope as you scroll through these pictures you are inspired to seek the beauty in your own life and home and within your motherhood as well.
This life is hard and messy and chaotic. What a good and breathtakingly beautiful life it is.
