My name is Hannah and I am passionate about 3 things:
- My Family
- Creating a love-filled home
Notice how I didn’t say a “beautiful home”. Hear me out. I love an aesthetically pleasing, gorgeous home filled with delicate decor and perfect organization just as much as the next HGTV fanatic.
However, I want to create a home that goes beyond the beauty on an Instagram feed or Pinterest board. Somewhere my children can feel free to mess up the couch cushions, craft on the dining room table, and use their imaginations to their fullest potential. A place where the door is always open, the coffee is fresh, and an ear is ready to listen.
In order to do that, I need to understand what “home” means for me and my family.
Home to me is a place of refuge and warmth, a quiet retreat from the outside world. Home is full of love and laughter and all the messes that reflect the life shared within it’s walls. Home is a meal made from scratch or a peanut butter jelly sandwich shared on the couch. Home is where we practice kindness, selfless love, forgiveness, and grace. Home is where the snuggles and kisses and goodnight stories never run out. Home is where we learn to be everything God created us to be and encourage each other to live in that truth.
What is your definition of home? Is it a place? A feeling? The people in it?
My hope is that you will join me in creating homes that we can love our people well in, reflect the beauty God created around us, and enjoy the blessings He has graciously gifted to each of us. So, let’s get started!
