May in Photos
I could write down all of the wonderful and bittersweet and joyful experiences that May brought… but a picture is worth a thousand words, right? 😉
I wrote Owen a note and he wanted it stuck to his back like a name tag. Can you tell he is a church/MDO kid? Sister wrapped up this soccer season with 30 goals and a shiny new medal!Women’s luncheon errands with my friend! Our table was garden party themed. Each of our guests went home with a cute plant, a packet of flower seeds and some gold honeybee earrings from my friend’s shop! I’m biased , but our table was the best 😉Then this little introvert had to recover for the next 3-5 business days. HahaChase bought me my dream kitchen aid mixer! Still swooning over this color.Lots of sourdough loaves have been made since! This braided cinnamon loaf was delicious!Bradley won the “Quote of the Week” in class. We bought garden supplies and planted the garden this month. (Finally!)Herb Bed. Dill, oregano, English thyme, lavender and chamomile.
We also planted 3 different tomatoes (Cherokee Purple, Blueberry Tomato, Better Boy), basil, marigolds, peas, green beans, rosemary, muscadine grapes, 3 pepper plants (Black Beauty Bell pepper, jalapeño, Aldi long pepper).
The kid’s entertainment set-up! Chase and Bradley worked on cleaning up the front bed. They added rock border and a pretty cool pathway for the garden hose. Sweet tea on Mama’s porch for Mother’s Day. My gorgeous new Bible that Chase bought me for Mother’s Day. It’s a She Reads Truth Bible that I have wanted for so long!We wrapped up MDO with a celebration and preschool graduation!Little Pre-K Grad 😭❤️Cutie rings for the pre-k grads. First Farmer’s Market of the season for us. These strawberries were gone by the next morning! And that gluten free, blueberry zucchini bread? Delicious!Found gluten free cinnamon sugar donut holes. Honestly, I’m still dreaming about how amazing they were. Definitely going back to find more!
Bradley competed in the 5th Grade Little Olympics in both the 4-80 Relay and the 80 yard dash and did great! All the pictures have other kiddos and the schools on their shirts, so I won’t share. But I’m so proud of them all!
Bradley graduated 5th grade this year! Cannot believe he is this big. There is no way.My heart cannot handle this. Chase had a minor surgery and we got antsy in the car waiting, so we killed some time by exploring the trail next door to the clinic.Owen sat down and grabbed his crayons while enjoying the waterfall. I’ve been here nearly every morning and evening that I could escape for a few moments of peace. There have been lots of crafts. Taught the kids how to shuck corn. Forgot how much I love fresh corn on the cob. Kids had a blast. Will definitely do this again.Library days are the best!
These are the highlights. The moments I don’t want to forget. Of course there are so many photos I still would love to post and so many more memories that have no photographic proof of their existence (I really hold those dear!). Either way, I hope these brought a smile and inspired you to look for the joy, the laughter, the beauty of your own life each and every day. Thank you for letting me share this with you!
I am a woman trying my best to follow Jesus through this crazy, wonderful life. My husband, Chase, is my best friend and arguably the most handsome man ever. We have three precious kiddos together, Bradley, Adeline and Owen. I am an enneagram 2, writer, amateur chef, backyard gardener and wannabe interior designer. I love my tea sweet, coffee cold, a good book and 90s country music. 😉 So glad you stopped by, let’s be friends! View all posts by Hannah B.
