Whoa…y’all didn’t we JUST do this? Why is summer going by so fast? It’s already July! Has anybody else heard fireworks until midnight every single night this week? Which reminds me, I need to check and see if anyone is even putting on a firework show this year (with covid and all)!
Any-who, I’m back with another round of Friday Faves. It’s crazy how hard it is to actually curate a list of favorites when you aren’t sure who is reading or what they may like. With that being said, let me know what you want to see in the coming weeks!
And let’s get going!

Music
“Comeback” by Kane Brown
While it’s definitely a “get you in your feels” song, oh my goodness it is so good. I know I may have an unpopular opinion about loving Kane Brown, but you can’t deny he’s got talent. And his songs are always a hit.
“Remember” by Lauren Daigle
Lauren’s album “Look Up Child” is one I listen to at least once a week, particularly this song. I know I have a tendency to forget God’s goodness and faithfulness to me, especially when life is hard and painful. But these lyrics help me to remember who God is and how good and faithful He has always been, still is, and will always be.
Drink

I found this tea at Walmart one day and decided to give it a try. It is a staple for me now. There is 0 caffeine which means you can drink it whenever without worrying about staying up all night (unless you are like me and caffeine has 0 effects on you).
Here is the ingredient list: apple, lemon verbena, candied pineapple, natural flavors, rose hips, orange peels, licorice root, lavender, chamomile pollen, magic acid (preservative)
I promise it tastes as heavenly as it sounds. Especially with a spoonful of your favorite sugar or sweetener.
Bible Verse(s)

“Therefore I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing? Consider the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they? Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying?” Matthew 6: 25-27 (CSB)
As someone who is prone to anxiety and letting my anxious thoughts run wild, this verse brings peace to my weary soul. I know there are a lot of people who struggle with anxiety, wether it be an isolated situation or a chronic issue. I get it. It’s hard and messy and overwhelming and feels suffocating. But I want you to read this verse again and just sit here for a minute.
This is meant to be a reminder to us that though we aren’t in control, God is. Yes, anxiety is real and powerful, but our God is also real and has ultimate power. He takes care of the birds in the sky and the flowers of the field, so won’t he also take care of you? Believe me, I know there is so much more to it, that this verse isn’t a simple “snap you out of it” cure…but it offers peace and truth that I know we need to hear. Seek God, abide in Him and don’t be afraid to reach out for help from a trusted friend, mentor, or counselor if you need it.
Podcast

In this podcast episode, Tanner interviews Addison Bevere about understanding your identity in Christ. Y’all, I took a crazy amount of notes! He poses the question, “Do you consider yourself a saint?” and my immediate answer was a huge “heck no”! But the true answer is, if you accepted Jesus and are saved by grace, then YES, you are a saint. He helps to unpack what that looks like and how to live in light of this identity. I found this conversation extremely eye-opening, wisdom-filled, and encouraging and I hope you do too!
Well friends, that’s a wrap on this weeks Friday Faves! As always, let me know what you think, of you checked out anything listed or what you’d like to see in future posts 💕
